Three injured in collision on Harbor

Three people were injured in a traffic collision that reportedly

happened after a driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic while

making a left turn, police said.

The accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of

Harbor Boulevard and Village Way when 37-year-old Leon Guerrero of

Long Beach, who was traveling south on Harbor, made a left turn on

Village Way, Costa Mesa Police Officer Gerry Stukkie said.

Guerrero did not yield to 18-year-old Lindsy Roldan of Santa Ana

who broadsided him, Stukkie said. The two cars then hit a third car

driven by Timothy House, 23, of Costa Mesa, he said.

Guerrero had a cut on his head and was taken to the trauma center

at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana for a check-up because he

complained of pain, Stukkie said. A passenger who was traveling with

Roldan was treated by paramedics and released. House complained of

neck pain and was transported to Hoag Hospital, Stukkie said.

No one was charged or cited. But Stukkie said Guerrero will most

likely get a citation in the mail because “he was found at fault for

not yielding.” An investigation is ongoing, he said.
