The UC Irvine Arboretum is

hosting its annual Summer Bulb Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gardeners will have the chance to buy winter species as dormant bulbs

and select summer and evergreen species in containers. Expert advice

and landscaping ideas will be available. The Arboretum is located

just south of the corner of Campus Dr. and Jamboree Rd. on the north

The Newport Harbor High School

cheer squad will host Junior Cheer Camp from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 23,

26 and 27 in front of the high school’s anchor. The cost is $95,

which covers a T-shirt, snacks, pom-poms, photo, extra fall practice

and performance at a high school football game on Aug. 28. Students
