Downtown: Work on underground utilities in the Downtown area should

slow traffic for another two weeks before the project’s completion in

early June.

Downtown alley: The Downtown alley between 2nd and Third streets

will be the last step of the project to put utilities under ground.

Above-ground utility lines won’t be removed until after summer.

Glenneyre Street: On Monday one block of eastbound Glenneyre

Street between Park Avenue and Legion Street will be closed from 6

a.m. to 5 p.m. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Wendt Terrace: Construction on a Park Avenue sidewalk project from

Wendt Terrace to St. Ann’s Drive will begin June 23, eliminating

parking in that section for five weeks. A pedestrian project on

Temple Hills Drive will begin July 21, which will overlap with the

Park Avenue project for five days and create “a significant

congestion problem,” Director of Public Works Steve May said.

Those dates are subject to change, but City Engineer Derek Wieske

said they would like to finish both projects in the summer to avoid

school traffic on Park Avenue.
