get it.
SUNDAY
* South La Senda Drive: Police are investigating a resident’s
claim that her husband, from whom she’s legally separated, grabbed
her arm and pulled her across the console of his car as they argued.
She said they had to see each other on occasion because they have
children and she called divorce proceedings thus far “messy.”
* North Coast Highway: A woman wearing a Ritz Carlton sweatshirt
was taken back to her motel room in the 1300 block after she was seen
dancing in the middle of the street at 10:22 a.m. The police log
deemed her 5149, just short of 5150 -- which is cause for admission
to a mental hospital.
SATURDAY

outstanding warrant for public nudity in Newport Beach at around 1:30
p.m.

the 1600 block.
* South Coast Highway: Officers patrolling the Boom Boom Room at
3:20 a.m. received a complaint that someone was down on the beach
being hyper and loud. They found the man, ran his information and
found a no-bail parole violation from the Department of Corrections
and arrested him.
MAY 16
* Jasmine Street: Officers responded to a 10:34 p.m. complaint
that two men were drinking beer and spitting on cars at the corner of
Jasmine and North Coast Highway. The reporting party left no physical
description, and officers found no one in the area.

at 8:55 p.m. that he suspected a former employee of stealing nearly
$600. Police are investigating.
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a Long Beach resident on a
$50,000 warrant for spousal abuse after his friend had been pulled
over for a traffic violation in the 500 block at 2:59 p.m. The
officer ran the driver’s information and found his license had been
suspended six times. A check on the passenger called up the warrant.
* Diamond Street: Police had to shut down northbound and
southbound traffic on South Coast Highway when a tour bus tried to
make a left turn onto Diamond Street and got its rear end grounded at
11:52 a.m. Police deemed the driver at fault for trying to climb a
steep grade, and will send a bill to the bus company for the city’s
money spent controlling the incident.
* Thalia Street: A resident turned in a wallet to police that she
found in her mailbox in the 600 block at 10:56 a.m. It had an Israeli
passport inside.
* The Police Log is compiled and written by Mike Swanson from oral
and written reports from the Laguna Beach Police Department and other
sources. Not all police activity is included. Arrests indicate
suspicion of violations, not charges filed nor the results of court
action unless noted.
