Canadians topple Vanguard

COSTA MESA -- Vanguard University dropped a 7-1 nonconference

decision to visiting British Columbia Friday as Brook McNiven went

the distance, scattering nine hits. Jonathan Bower (2 for 3) was the

only Lion with two hits as Vanguard fell to 8-5. British Columbia

improved to 5-1.
