Tee-Ball signups are still open to public
T-ball signups for Laguna Beach Little League are still open to
interested players living within the league’s boundaries.
Signups will be taken until March 2 at the Coffee Pub, 290 Forest
Ave.
All Laguna Beach boys and girls ages 5 and 6 as of July 31, 2003,
are eligible.
All games, to be played at the Lang Park T-ball field, are
noncompetitive, with an emphasis on fun for all.
“We at Laguna Beach Little League want every 5- or 6-year-old boy
and girl to have the opportunity to be on a T-ball team,” T-ball
Commissioner Cameron Fraser said.

Laguna Beach Soccer Club tryouts set
Laguna Beach Soccer Club will hold tryouts for its 2003-04 season
on four upcoming dates.
Tryouts are open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15 and will be held
at Moulton Meadows in Laguna Beach.
The nonprofit organization, a member of the competitive Coast
Soccer League, will hold tryouts on the following dates:
March 1: boys, 10 to 11:30 a.m.; girls, noon to 1:30 p.m.
March 4: boys; 4 to 5:30 p.m.
March 6: girls, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
March 8: boys, 10 to 11:30 a.m.; girls, noon to 1:30 p.m.
The teams are coached by Andy and Mike Thomas, varsity boys’ and
girls’ coaches at Laguna Beach High.
The club’s goals include the development of players, a focus on
skills and a better understanding of the game.

Girls’ basketball signups begin Monday
The Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach will be taking
registration for its Girls’ Basketball League for first through
eighth grades from Monday through March 14.
All players must complete an evaluation process to play in the
league.
Practices begin March 17 and games begin April 7. Practices and
games will be held at the club, 1085 Laguna Canyon Road.
Volunteer coaches are needed for all divisions.
