FOR THE RECORD - Jan. 24, 2003
An article in the Jan. 17 issue of the Coastline Pilot, “McCalla’s
will stay in town,” was premature in reporting that Ropage Beauty
Supply and Salon would be moving from its Forest Avenue location. The
owner of Ropage was not reached until after the story was reported
and was not the source for the story. The article also stated that
the move would be to avoid a rent increase to $22,000. According to
the property manager, the building is on the market with an asking
price of $13,750 per month. Also, the article stated that the
property was being managed by Fritz Duda for his uncle. The property
is not owned by Duda’s uncle. It is owned by a family that lives in
Wichita, Kan.
