Sailors come up short against Los Al, 46-39

Newport Harbor High’s boys basketball team fell victim to some

ice-cold shooting from the perimeter and dropped a 46-39 nonleague

decision to visiting Los Alamitos Saturday night.

The Sailors, who travel to Edison on Wednesday for their final Sea

View League tuneup, were led by Nedim Pajevic, who had 12 points and

19 rebounds.

“We just couldn’t put down the shots,” said Newport Harbor Coach

Larry Hirst.

“We held them to four points in the fourth quarter, just one field

goal, and we had plenty of opportunities.”

Newport Harbor was 0-for-12 from three-point range and falls to

8-6.
