ART SALE

An art sale is being held at the Showcase Gallery through Jan. 4.

Original art is priced remarkably low. Members of Orange County Fine

Arts, a nonprofit organization, run the show and donate a portion of

the profits to support community college students through scholarship

programs. Art available includes oils, watercolors, photography,

sculpture and handcrafted jewelry.

Macys South Coast Plaza has opened a new blisslabs spa line

boutique. Blisslabs is the skin-care choice of many celebrities. It

MEMORIES IN THE MAKING

Each year the Alzheimer Association sells calendars and note cards

called Memories in the Making, painted by patients suffering from

Alzheimer’s disease. Most of the artists never painted before

developing the illness. Proceeds from the stationery go toward

programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange

County.

The stationery set includes 19 note cards and nine gift tags with

envelopes and a 2003 single-page wall calendar. It costs $16.50.
