Wasserstein library appearance rescheduled for January
Playwright Wendy Wasserstein’s appearance tonight at the Newport
Beach Public Library has been rescheduled to January because of
illness.
The Tony Award winner, best known for “The Heidi Chronicles” and
“Uncommon Women and Others,” seems to have come down with a case of
the flu, said Tracy Keys, executive director of the Newport Beach
Public Library Foundation.
Wasserstein’s appearance will now take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 23.
People with reservations for tonight will be automatically placed on
the reservation list for the rescheduled talk.
Those attending will receive a complimentary copy of Wasserstein’s
new book, “Shiksa Goddess, Or How I Spent My Forties.”
