The city will be performing street construction work over the next

few weeks, which will affect traffic at various times. Information:

Mystic Way/Hilledge Drive storm drain: Construction of a storm

drain along Mystic Way, at the point where it joins Hilledge Drive,

will cause road closures during weekdays through Dec. 20. The closure

will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Detours to alternate routes

will be indicated by signs.

Crestview and Gainsborough drives road widening: Road widening at

two locations on these streets will cause temporary delays of up to

five minutes during weekdays throughout the month of December.

South Coast Highway/Third Avenue: Landscaping of the median island

at the intersection will cause closures of the No. 1 lane in both

directions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Dec. 20. This will cause

delays on South Coast Highway during these times.

Alta Vista Drive and Nyes Place resurfacing: Street resurfacing in

the Alta Vista area and along Nyes Place has been substantially

completed. Adjusting of utility vaults and replacement of striping

will continue through Dec. 20. Traffic delays should be minimal.
