HOW I READ IT

Well, here we go again -- the anticipation, fun, fear, depression,

anxiety, love, anger, joy, plus every other human emotion we’ve

inherited since our ancestors became fully upright and walking

hominids.

No, I’m not talking about having a baby; it’s experiencing all

these emotions that make the holiday season a very special time of

year and create so many lifetime memories. And the library can

enhance this season’s celebrations in many ways.

Food, of course, is a major ingredient of the December holidays.

The library’s cookbook section will help you plan, prepare and

present all your special family and friends’ celebrations.

The arts and crafts section has some great books on making your

own simple ornaments, wreaths, stocking gifts and many other ideas

for your own pleasure and others.

During this busy time, take time-outs for yourself; read some good

books; check out the library’s videos or books on tape. Keep the

little ones occupied with their own books and videos while you design

and create cookies and other gift/decoration masterpieces.

And for very little money, you can give smart and impressive

holiday gifts from the undiscovered treasury of the Friends of the

Library bookshop.

Remember, the library is your personal cost- and commercial-free

information and entertainment source.
