FALL MARKETPLACE HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE

Top of the World PTA will host its third annual boutique from 2 to

5 p.m. The event will feature hand-made jewelry, artworks, gourmet

gifts, fashion wear, designer handbags, custom bedding, home decor,

candles, home craft items and projects, cosmetics, fragrance and

HEART AND ARTERY SCREENINGS

Wild Oats will host Cardio Vision to provide a five-minute

noninvasive test that will check arteries for blockages. The test

will also provide a report on the condition of arteries, check for

blood and pulse pressure, arrhythmia and heart rate. The screenings

will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cost $25 at 283 Broadway

FOREIGN AND INDIE

FILM SERIES

Regency Theatres will present “Sordid Lives,” a story about a

family in a small Texas town preparing for the funeral of the mother.

The film will show at 11 a.m. today and Sunday at the Laguna South

Coast Cinema, 162 S. Coast Highway. Ticket Prices are $8 for adults

2002 STUDENT HOLIDAY SHOW AND SALE

The Festival of Arts’ student artists will show and sell their

works from the year-round arts education program. The collection will

include raku pottery, sculpture and mixed media. The exhibit and sale

will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wells Fargo Bank, 260 Ocean

SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL WINTER FANTASY

The show will offer Santa, snow, holiday entertainment, outdoor

cafes and more starting today. Laguna residents are admitted for free

from 3 to 7 p.m. Mayor Wayne Baglin will light the community tree at

5 p.m. and the Top of the World Elementary School Honor Choir will

provide entertainment. The festival grounds will be open from 10 a.m.

to 6 p.m. Nov. 23 and 24, Nov. 29 through Dec. 1, Dec. 7 and 8 and

Dec. 14 and 15. The festival is at 935 Laguna Canyon Road.

POETRY OF COLOR

Pacific Edge Gallery will open a collection of new oils painted on

location in Provence and the Cote d’Azue of France by local artist,

THE CRUCIBLE

Laguna Beach High School’s Park Avenue Players will present Arthur

Miller’s “The Crucible.” Directed by Mark Dressler and Brandon

Leighton, the play explores the parallels between Senator McCarthy

and the House Un-American Activities Committee’s crusade against

supposed communist sympathizers and the earlier horror of the Salem

witch trials. The play will show at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23 in the

Artists’ Theatre. Tickets will be on sale one hour before each

performance. General seating is $5 for students and $10 for adults.
