LIGHTING UP THE NIGHT

1 The Fashion Island tree will be lighted at 6 p.m. today and

Saturday. Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in Disney’s “The Little

Mermaid,” will perform with students from the Orange County High

School of the Arts. This year’s tree is a 115-foot white fir from Mt.

Shasta that weighs about 30,000 pounds. It’s in the Bloomingdale’s

Courtyard.

A COMPUTER FAIR ON FAIR

2 A National Productions Computer Fair will be held from 10 a.m.

to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in building 14 of the Orange County

Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa. The center is at 88 Fair

Drive. Admission is $5 and free for children 10 and under. For more

FAITHS GIVE THANKS

3 The Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council will host its annual

Celebration of Thanksgiving at 4 p.m. Sunday at Harbor Christian

Church in Newport Beach. The event will consist scripture readings

and music from a variety of faith communities as well as speeches

given by Imam Mustufa Qazwini of the Islamic Education Center, Rabbi

Marc Rubenstein of Temple Isaiah and Rev. Dennis Short of Harbor
