Seales leads the Pirates in 72-69 victory
COSTA MESA -- Orange Coast College’s men’s basketball team rallied
from a 39-22 deficit with 18:45 left as sophomore point guard Stephon
Seales tallied 14 points and dished out six assists to pace the
overtime victory over visiting Southwestern College Wednesday night
in the winner’s gym.
“We played with heart, we played hard and that’s why we won the
basketball game,” said OCC Coach Steve Spencer.
Aaron Bobik and Jason Garey were also in double figures with 12
and 11 points for the Pirates, who caught Southwestern at 44. Bobik
and Derron Putnam each had nine rebounds.
In the overtime, Seales took over, scoring six points tohelp the
Pirates build a 70-63 advantage at the 2:53 mark.
The Pirates, 2-2, return to the floor Nov. 29 at the Citrus
College Tournament.
