AT ISSUE: Triangle Square’s eventual reinvention will attract new

eateries and other goodies to the shopping center.

As I was driving by the other day, I thought what a perfect place

to put a bowling alley. Two, I guess three, markets have failed, but

I think that would be a place to have the bowling alley since Kona

Lanes is going to be shut down.

I think they should look into turning the lower floor into a fun

zone or an activities area. I think a Ruby’s would be good there. An

upscale Riviera or maybe a Rainforest Cafe, possibly a Chuck E.

Cheese’s type restaurant.

I would love, and so would hundreds of other people, to see Bob

Burton’s come back to the county. It was a great restaurant. You had

valet parking. It would be just wonderful. Also a deli, a great deli

like Nate’s in Beverly Hills because there isn’t really a great deli

around here. I think that would be wonderful.

I would like to see a Chili’s restaurant go in Triangle Square as

we lost the one on Coast Highway and I really miss it. A Chili’s

would be good. It has a diversified menu and I think it would be good

for all ages.

I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea if you considered taking Kona

Lanes bowling alley, which is going out, and putting it in the

basement where the grocery store is or was. I think you need an

eating place for people coming out of the theater, like Johnny

Rockets, some place where you can just pick up some fast food stuff.

I think that would be an improvement.

I think what I would like to see a Rock Bottom Brewery like they

have out of San Diego and I think it would be really essential to

their success to put a very interesting fountain up on that top

level, something like what you see at the Spectrum or at Fashion

Island.

P.F. Chang’s, Palomino, something a Spoons, Chili’s or an Islands

would be perfect, or a Red Robin family style restaurant/burger

joint.

I think the Cheesecake Factory would be a good anchor restaurant.

I’d like to see a Souplantation. It’s always such fun to go.

There’s a new one way out past the second freeway and it’s beautiful

and the food is so good. So my vote is for a Souplantation.
