Closing arguments will begin today in the trial of Ramadan Dokovic.

The defense rested its case Wednesday. Both the prosecution and the

defense presented several witnesses, including people who saw the Costa

Mesa incident that happened in the parking lot of the Jack in the Box

restaurant at the corner of 17th Street and Tustin Avenue.

The prosecution brought in about a dozen witnesses. Most of them told

the court that they saw the men fight over a gun and Dokovic shoot

Miroslav Maric several times.

The defense argued to jurors that the gun went off when the men were

struggling to get their hands on the weapon. The defense also argued that

Dokovic shot Maric in self-defense, rather than with the intent to kill

him.

The jury is expected to begin deliberations Friday.
