The Five Feet Giants lived up to their name by upending Brady’s

Friends, the first place team in the AA Division, 4-3, in Laguna Beach

Little League action.

Five Feet got the win in dramatic fashion.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Tylan Kang was hit by a pitch,

stole second and was brought home on Mac Thornton’s game-winning single.

The Giants had taken a 3-2 advantage through the five innings behind

hits by Brenden Ferguson and Bradley Barnes, and the defense of first

baseman Colin Ceithaml.

But Brady’s Friends tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the sixth when

Rex Strombotne hit a solo home run.

That would be the final run of the game, though, for Brady’s Friends

as Five Feet closing pitcher Zack LeBon shut them down the rest of the

inning.

LeBon followed Jack Pillsbury and Robbie McInerny on the mound.

Strombotne, Morgan Curry and Tyler Kesler saw pitching action for

Brady’s Friends.
