WEATHER FORECAST
The marine layer will kick off the day, though it’ll burn off for yet
another hot and mostly sunny afternoon. Highs will near 80 in Costa Mesa
while the coast feels a bit cooler in the upper 60s. The marine layer
will return late tonight, and lows will drop to the mid- to upper 50s.
Expect much of the same throughout the week, though highs should shed
a few degrees by Wednesday.

BOATING FORECAST
Morning fog will be found in various areas. The northwesterly winds
will blow 10 to 20 knots in the inner waters this afternoon, with 1- to
3-foot waves and a west swell of 5 to 7 feet. Much of the same will
prevail this evening.
Out farther, there is expected to be a gale warning as northwesterly
winds blow 20 to 30 knots, with 3- to 6-foot waves and a northwest swell
of 7 to 9 feet. This evening, the winds will continue to blow strong,
though waves will drop to 3 to 5 feet and the swell will build to 8 to 10
feet.
SURF
Waves should be in the waist- to chest-high range today, though
standout spots will see some larger surf. The southwest swell will back
down Wednesday, though a northwest swell will fill in. The weekend’s
looking decent so far.
