Event will recognize Irrelevant Week founder

Newport Beach resident Paul Salata will be recognized for a lifetime

of philanthropic achievements on May 23 at The Grove (formerly the Sun

Theatre) 2200 E. Katella Ave., Anaheim.

Tickets for the event, which is sponsored by the First American Corp.,

Salata, a former professional athlete, founded what is now the Orange

County Youth Sports Foundation. He also created “Irrelevant Week,” which

honors the last player selected in the National Football League draft.
