The A’s captured the first half title in the race for the overall

Majors Division championship of Huntington Valley Little League by

blanking the Mariners, 6-0.

The Mariners looked like they would grab command early by loading the

bases in the first inning on a double by Shay Rousello and an Adam

Martinazzi single. But Alex Barnes came on in relief for the A’s and got

out of the jam and then preceded to shut out the Mariners the rest of the

way.

Drake Thorn and Luke Patrick also singled for the Mariners.

for three. Mike McDougal and Chas Boule each had two hits and Race

Parmenter and Paul McBeth each doubled.
