Pet of the Week
Oliver, also known as Ollie, “is a very large 6-year-old purebred
Siamese who is very unhappy since the new baby started walking,” said
DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Community Animal Network. “When Ollie
is stressed by the baby, he begins wheezing as if having an asthma
attack.”
Many animals act like Ollie because of toddlers, she said, and need
new homes to escape the stress.
The network has received an additional $600 and more than 10 new
foster families to help feed abandoned kittens, Pfaff-Martin said. About
$25 feeds four kittens per week, she said.
“Small dogs have been placed in new homes so quickly that we have been
unable to photograph them and announce them in the paper,” she said.
“Please see the Web site for dogs that will be at adoption.”
