BOATING FORECAST

Areas of fog will be found this morning. The westerly winds will blow

their typical 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters this afternoon, with

2-foot waves and a west swell of 2 to 4 feet. Winds will lighten up this

evening.

Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots early,

but will then pick up to 15 to 25 knots this afternoon, with 2-foot waves

and a northwest swell of 4 to 6 feet. Tonight, the winds will blow 10 to

20 knots, with 1- to 3-foot waves. Patchy fog will return later tonight.

SURF

It’s not a wonderful day for surfing. Waves will be in the knee- to

waist-high range today, with water temperatures as low as 56. So, it may

be a great day to kick back indoors.

On Tuesday, however, it’s time for another trip to the beach with a

combination of northwest and southwest swells producing waist- to

chest-highs. On Wednesday, the swell will build a bit more, with the

occasional shoulder-high expected. Thursday should be similar.
