In Newport Beach Little League Majors Division action:

Angels 10, Giants 0 - The Angels combined power hitting with

consistent pitching to improve their record to 6-0 Thursday night.

The Angels collected five straight hits, a sacrifice and a walk to go

up 5-0 in the first inning. Andy Rovzar led off with a single, followed

by a Jordan Kurtz base hit, then Michael page (3 for 3) singled home

Rovzar. Shane Boras, who went 3 for 3, chipped a two-run single, scoring

Kurtz and Page. Hunter Alder also added a hit, while Scott Ely went to 2

for 3 with 2 RBIs.

Joe Eberhar and Nick Taylor produced solid hits for the Giants.

Reds 8, Dodgers 5 (extra innings) - The Reds scored three runs in the

top of the eighth as Andrew Silva, Blaine Nielsen and Dylan Davis touched

home plate. Then in the bottom of the frame, Silva came on in relief and

shut out the Dodgers. He was supported by a strong defense, including

Eric Mooney and Brett Bartlett.

The Dodgers built an early 3-0 lead on standout hitting and base

running by Kyle Hill and Luke Greiner. The Reds came back in the second

on hits from Timmy Winning and Davis, and again in the fourth after J.P.

Gromly’s triple.

Trailing 5-3, with one out in the top of the sixth, the Reds’ Evan

McNerney started a rally with a single to left, followed by a walk to

Nielsen, an RBI single from Winning, and a RBI from Davis to tie the
