Community college men’s basketball: OCC men downed, 95-74
HUNTINGTON BEACH - Despite playing five-on-four in the final 4:37,
the Orange Coast College men’s basketball team could not come back and
lost, 95-74, to rival Golden West, in Orange Empire Conference action
Friday.
The Rustlers (4-18, 1-7 in the OEC) played their best game of the
season, shooting a season-high 58%, even though three of their seven
players fouled out. Golden West, which led 78-61 with four players,
outscored the Pirates, 17-13 in the final 4:37.
OCC (5-17, 2-6) was led by freshman Stephon Seales, who scored 22
points. Tony Dow of the Rustlers scored a season-high and game-high 24
points. OCC senior Mark Meyers hit 4 of 4 from the free-throw line and
finished with 10 points.
