Huntington Beach resident Danielle Scotia has been awarded a

scholarship from the Woman and Philanthropy program at Cal State Long

Beach. Scotia is a major in interpersonal and organizational

communication. . . . Michael S. Zar of Huntington Beach has received a

Peccorini-Tang Scholarship from the Department of Philosophy at Cal State

State Long Beach. . . . Air Force Airman 1st Class Troy Wojtkiewicz has

graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San

Antonio, Texas. During training Wojtkiewicz studied the Air Force

mission, organization, customs and received physical training and special

training in human relations. He is the son of Norman Wojtkiewicz of

Huntington Beach and stepson of Lance Desteuben of Garden Grove. He is a

1999 graduate of Marina High School. . . . Air Force Airman 1st Class

Gabriel Gallardo has graduated from basic military training at Lackland

Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Training included instruction in Air

Force mission, physical training and special training in human relations.

Gallardo is the son of Sam and Mary Gallardo of Huntington Beach.
