SATURDAY
See the marionettes. The Orange County Performing Arts Center’s
Saturdays at the Center series will present the Cashore Marionettes at 11
a.m. and 1 p.m. today at Founders Hall, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa

SUNDAY
Sundays on the water. The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will present
Gary Miltimore’s “Hot Yachts, Ocean Racers From Topsails to Turbos”
exhibit of 25 original yacht paintings -- with photographs and models --
through March 15 at 151 E. Coast Highway, Newport Beach. The museum is
open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Free. (949) 675-8915.
MONDAY
Spend your Monday the Moroccan way at Marrakesh. Authentic Moroccan
cuisine and belly dancing is offered at 5 p.m. daily at Marrakesh, 1976

TUESDAY
Ship watching. Free tours of the tall ships Hawaiian Chieftain and
Lady Washington will be offered from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, while the ships
are docked near the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, 151 E. Coast Highway,
Newport Beach. Both ships will be in town and available for tours and
sails through Jan. 22. (800) 200-5239.
WEDNESDAY
It’s never too late to learn. Newport Beach Community Services will
present a drawing and painting workshop series on Wednesdays through
March 6 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Vince Jorgensen Center, 2005
Dover Drive, Newport Beach. Mimi Sharon Stein will lead the sessions.
