Surf and Sun
WEATHER FORECAST
While there is a good chance at rain very early this morning, most of
the day should be mostly cloudy with highs in the low 60s in
Newport-Mesa. Though the sun should shine slightly today, don’t expect to
see it much. Overnight lows will hover just above 50 tonight.
Tuesday’s looking a lot better as the sun should stick around most of
the day. Highs and lows, meanwhile, will be about the same as today.
Think happy thoughts and keep smiling.

BOATING FORECAST
The winds will blow light today in the inner waters, but the west
swell will be about 4 to 6 feet.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow light throughout the
day, but the northwest swell will be in the 8- to 10-foot range. Waves
will be low at about a foot.
SURF
All good things must come to an end and the recent swell will pretty
much ease up completely today as the waves level off around the waist
today. Expect quite a few knee-highs.
Don’t anticipate anything halfway decent until about Thursday. That
should bode well for surfers looking to stay healthy anyway since today’s
rains will send urban runoff into the ocean for the next two or three
days.
