Community college baseball: Hawaii nabs OCC’s Azze
COSTA MESA - Justin Azze, a pitcher for the Orange Coast College
baseball team, signed to play for the University of Hawaii next year,
Pirates Coach John Altobelli said.
Azze, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound, left-handed pitcher who will enter his
sophomore season this spring for the Pirates, compiled a 6.5 ERA and a
1-2 record last year.
“He has really blossomed into a quality all-around pitcher and has
matured this summer,” Altobelli said. “He will probably go pretty high in
the (Major League Baseball) draft if he has a good year and continues
what he’s doing.”
