Orange Coast College’s Horticultural Department will have its annual

holiday poinsettia sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The

horticultural students grow beautiful poinsettias in the greenhouses as

part of their studies, and that is where the sale will take place.

Proceeds from the sale go toward future projects of the Ornamental

Horticulture students. The most popular plant at the sale is the 6-inch

pot that has three plants instead of one, making them fuller than most.

There are also 4-inch pots, 10-inch pots and hanging baskets that make

excellent centerpieces. The pots are wrapped in foil covers with a bow.

The color selection is traditional red, white, pink and marble, both with

variegated leaves and Monet. Prices range from $5 to more than $40. The

greenhouses can be found by following the signs from the Adams Street or

Merrimac Way entrances. Orange Coast College is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.

Westcliff Court will have its annual Christmas walk from 6 to 9 p.m.

Friday. Merchants will offer a 10% discount during the event. Three new

tenants have opened this year, including Mephisto Shoes, David Rickey

Sport and Butera Home Collection’s Ralph Lauren Gallery. Complimentary

hors d’oeuvres and wine will be in the courtyard. Participating merchants

include A’Maree’s, Buck’s Clock Shoppe, Butera Collection, Charles Barr

Neiman Marcus is carrying two new products in its cosmetic/perfume

department. Awake Stardom is an exclusive cosmetic line to Neiman Marcus

that features the latest trends in modern formulations. Stardom Mascara

has a dual end that comes with a base and a color for maximum thickness,

length and curl for $25. Other products available are Stardom lipstick in
