WEATHER FORECAST

Tut tut. It looks likes rain. And it will. On this very cloudy day,

the rain will roll in near the late afternoon and continue dropping in

intervals, some heavy. Highs will fall just shy of 60 degrees this

afternoon, while lows will dip into the 40s.

The good news is it’ll be a beautifully sunny Friday with highs in the

low to mid-60s. Look toward the mountains. They’ll be nice and white.

BOATING FORECAST

The southerly winds will start off 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters

today but will pick up to 15 to 25 knots as the storm clouds roll in.

Waves will begin at 2 feet but will build to 4 feet, as will the west

swell of about 4 feet. Later, the winds will die down to about 10 knots,

with a swell of 5 to 7 feet.

Stronger southwesterly winds will blow 25 to 35 knots out farther

today. They’ll shift to northwesterly winds later and blow 20 to 30

knots. Waves will be about 5 feet with a northwest swell of 6 to 8 feet.

That swell will eventually build to 10 to 13 knots with the storm. A gale

advisory will more than likely go into effect as the storm rolls in.

SURF

Look for waves in the waist- to chest-high range today, but beware of

urban runoff, as is always the case with rain, which will hit in the late

afternoon today. Friday’s looking better with shoulder- to head-high

surf.
