Softball: Coaching clinic coming to Vanguard

COSTA MESA - Vanguard University will hold the third and final

softball clinic of the season Wednesday.

The two-hour session will be a coaching clinic for junior and senior

high school softball coaches, and will begin at 3:00 p.m. on the Vanguard

softball field in Costa Mesa.

The theme of the clinic is to help coaches organize, design, and run

effective and efficient practice plans.

Coaches will have the opportunity to observe Vanguard coaches and

players demonstrate specific drills and practice plans.

Attendees will be able to ask questions and discuss how to make

adjustments to fit team needs and budget restrictions.

The cost for the clinic is $25 per coach.

Multiple coaches from the same program will receive a $10 discount per

coach when preregistered.

Coaches are encouraged to preregister, providing information regarding

the level of the team they coach and specific topics they would like to

see covered in the clinic.
