Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza presented its annual designer fall

preview recently, showcasing a collection featuring both American and

European designers.

The show, in its second year on the California Riviera, had 28 models

sashaying down the catwalk, displaying the garments of Michael Kors,

Versace, Valentino, Chloe and Celine, to name only a few. Here’s a peek

at some of the hottest looks for fall.

CUTLINES

1. This Nordstrom model is wearing a Michael Kors black jersey harness

gown ($1,095).

2. Roberto Carvalli created this beige shearing jacket with a fox

collar ($3,400), worn with a pair of by-special-order only, light denim,

lace cutout jeans ($1,760).

3. A model shows off a Gianni Versace dove gray wool jersey pantsuit,

which retails for $2,025.

4. A showstopper, this model displays a Celine ensemble consisting of

a fur vest ($1,910), navy crew neck ($400) and navy pleated short skirt

($610).

5. Gianfranco Ferre designed this two-piece set, which includes a

camel chevron-knit turtleneck and camel chevron-knit skirt. ($1,600).

6. The Nordstrom model is a standout in this Yigal-Azrouel black-gold

chiffon dress with scarf hem ($2,046), matched with black-gold chiffon

shawl ($495).

7. Perfect for that black-tie event on the Orange Coast is this Robert

Danes black-white curvilinear strapless gown ($3,245), paired with an

elegant black velvet evening coat ($1,555).
