Ice Dogs put the sting on Hornets

Ryan Morgan slapped in four goals and collected a pair of assists to

lead the Ice Dogs to an 11-2 victory over the Hornets in Howe division

play.

Multiple goals also went to Sean Easton and Jake Galaviz and Travis

Miller scored once.

Easton and Chad Weaver each had two assists and Blake Easton finished

with 28 assists.

The Ice Dogs are now 3-2-2.

Griffen Gurzi and Drew Richardson scored for the Hornets (2-5) and

Jason Moore had 34 saves.

In other games:

Stampede 6, Nukes 2

Derick Rosas scored two goals, Blake Cooper assisted three goals,

Damian Raburn scored once with an assist, Craig Chorpenning, Chad Millar

and Eric Grant each scored once and Sam Robinson had 30 saves as the

Stampede (2-4-1) dropped the Nuke (5-2) into a first place tie with the

Dragons.

For the Nukes, Justin Romers scored once with an assist, Cameron

Monahan scored once and Michael Burkhardt had 29 saves.

Bandits 7, Avalanche 4

A four goal third period got the Bandits (3-3-1) past the Avalanche

(1-5-1).

Michael Mowrey and Tom Moore each scored twice in the final period,

Moore also scored in the second frame, Justin Novakovich and Brian

Daigneault each had a goal and assist, John Webb had an assist and Kyle

Bezayiff stoped a division-best 37 shots.

Bronson Steiner scored twice, Collin Beck and Kian Rhodes each scored

once, Kyle Anfang had an assist and Jaryd Mason had 29 saves to lead the

Avalanche.

Dragons 4, Flames 3

It was girls’ night out as Ali Plummer scored three goals and Kayla

Reza tallied one to lift the Dragons (5-2) to victory and into a first

place tie with the Nukes. Garrett Ono helped preserve the win with 33

saves.

The Flames received two goals from David Taylor, one from Greg Weaver,

an assist from Chris Nicholls and 23 saves from Tyler Post.

In Mite Club division action:

No Fear 8, Bryan’s Young Guns 6

Mark Miller scored three goals as No Fear handed Bryan’s Young Guns

their first loss of the season.

The two teams share the division lead with 5-1 records.

Steven Coressel and Andrew Jackson scored for No Fear.

Kevin Christie netted four goals and also assisted another, Matt

Deutschmann scored once and had two assists, Jamie Schlegel scored once

and John Thompson and Dylan Thompson each had assists to complete the

offense for Bryan’s Young Guns.

Kaos 11, Crunch 2

Taylor Wachen scored four goals, Zack Tenney scored three goals and

picked up two assists, Dakota Eveland scored once and added four assists,

Alex Koziol had a goal and an assist and Eric Morejon recorded 27 saves

for Kaos (2-4).

Matt Braun and Kyle McGeary scored for the Crunch (0-5).
