Roller hockey: Red Wings edge Kings

COSTA MESA - The Red Wings and Kings showed why they both belonged

in the playoffs, but in the end, it was the Red Wings who prevailed, 4-3,

in Harbor Area Boys & Girls Club fourth-grade roller hockey action.

Ryan Iverson led the Red Wings with three goals, while Chase Wilson

added the final tally.

Solid Red Wing defense was provided by Cody Parole, Max Venaas, Colin

Keith and Elizabeth Mammey, while goalie Tony Nasca made the big saves.

In Mite League action:

Breakers 6, Vipers 2: Taylor Roy had three goals to lead the Breakers,

while Cody Campbell added two and Ryan Iverson chipped in a single goal.

The defensive charge for the Breakers was led by Cody Parole, Cannon

Call, Zach Lucas and Taylor Kirby, while goalie A.J. Allen posted 16

saves.
