Seth Richardson, a Dartmouth College sophomore from Newport Beach,

will study in Barcelona, Spain, in the winter as part of the college’s

foreign study program there. Richardson is the son of Brian and Barbara

Richardson of Newport Beach. . . . Michael Klarin of Klarin and

Associates in Newport Beach was one of the members installed into the

Orange County-Long Beach Chapter of the California Society of Certified

Public Accountants at the May 8 conference. Raymond Hermanson of Squar,

Milner and Reehl, also from Newport Beach, was also installed. . . . Dan

Hoover, president of Estey-Hoover Inc., an advertising and public

relations firm that has been based in Newport Beach for 26 years, has

been named to the International Committee of Le Gala Des Etoiles, the

only touring gala of major dance stars in the world. . . . Alex Golson,

chair of Orange Coast College’s nationally recognized Theater Department,

has written a book on acting that will be released July 13 by Mayfield

Publishing Co. . . . Garrett M. Sholer of Newport Beach has joined the

Newport Beach office of Grubb and Ellis Co. as an associate vice

president with the investment services group. . . . Andrea Sparrow of

Costa Mesa graduated from the University of Arizona on May 12. . . .

Orange Coast College will honor the graduating students from the Allied

Health Professions on Wednesday. Student speaker Monica Ruiz of Costa

Mesa will also receive a dental assisting pin from the program, along

with Katie Rosner, Sumalee Ruaycharoensup, Gustavo Sandoval and Kim Shaw,

all from Costa Mesa. Receiving a cardiovascular technology pin will be

Monica Burris and Yoko Nishikawa, both from Costa Mesa. Receiving a

medical transcription pin will be Diana Lazan and Jessie Chiang from

Costa Mesa. Receiving a nutrition care pin from the program will be Siti

Sukaersity of Costa Mesa. Receiving a radiologic technology pin from the

Orange Coast College Allied Health Professions program will be Kristin
