SCHOOL LUNCH MENU

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if

desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot

entree. School lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept

checks for less than $17.50. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or a bean and cheese burrito,

crisp green salad with low-fat dressing, choice of fruit, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or a cheese pizza, celery sticks with low-fat

dip, choice of fruit, choice of milk

THURSDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or all-beef hot dog on a bun, baby carrots with

low-fat dip, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of milk

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or carnitas soft taco with lettuce, cheese and

salsa, frozen 100%-fruit juice bar, choice of milk

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or breaded chicken nuggets, rosy applesauce,

choice of juice, choice of milk

* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
