COSTA MESA

* Alaska Street: A car was reported stolen in the 1800 block at 8:58

a.m. Wednesday.

* Maple Street: An intoxicated person was reported in the 1900 block

at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday.

* Newport Boulevard: A person was reportedly violating their probation

in the 1600 block at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

* Orange Avenue: An intoxicated person was reported in the 2400 block

at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* 15th Street and Irvine Avenue: A man was arrested on suspicion of

possessing a controlled substance at 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Bail was set at

$10,000.

* 15th Street and West Ocean Front: Someone used charcoal to paint

graffiti on bathroom walls, the side walk and a sand-retaining wall at

10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

* 22nd Street and West Ocean Front: A man was arrested on suspicion of

false identification to a peace officer at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday. Bail was

set at $500.

* 38th Street: Someone allegedly stole art supplies worth $2,000 from

a garage in the 400 block at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Coast Highway and Irvine Terrace: A man was arrested on

suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs at 12:30

p.m. Wednesday. Bail was set at $15,000.

* Lille Lane: Someone allegedly stole a Fed Ex envelope containing a

$320 gift certificate outside a residence in the 200 block at 11:21 a.m.

Thursday. Police also reported that someone allegedly stole mail from the

same residence at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

* MacArthur Boulevard: Someone allegedly stole a laptop computer worth

$2,448 from an office in the 4000 block at 9:07 a.m. Thursday.
