School menus
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools.
The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot
entree. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if desired. School
lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept checks for less than
$17.50.
Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Dannon fruit yogurt or chicken patty
sandwich on a bun, potato “smiles,” applesauce, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or bean-and-cheese burrito with lettuce, cheese
and salsa, choice of fruit or 100% fruit juice, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or two beef tacos with lettuce, cheese and
salsa, black beans, fresh fruit, choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or Tony’s Galaxy cheese pizza, crisp green salad
with low-fat dressing, peach cup, choice of milk
MONDAY
Spring break, April 16 to 20
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
