Community college women’s swimming: Pirates swimmer headed for
Hawaii
COSTA MESA - Orange Coast College swimmer Laurelle Rzeszewski will
continue her academic and athletic careers at the University of Hawaii,
Pirates Coach Dave Salo announced Wednesday.
Rzeszewski, of Tustin High School, first joined the OCC aquatics
program in the fall of 1998. During that semester, she played water polo
for the Pirates. She then swam in the spring of 1999 and is competing on
OCC’s swim team again this semester.
“This is a great opportunity for Laurelle,” Pirates’ head women’s
water polo and assistant swim coach Mike Giles said. “They have a great
program and incredible facilities there.”
