Softball: Pirates find the win column

IRVINE - The Orange Coast College softball team broke its 13-game

conference losing streak with a 9-5 win over host Irvine Valley Wednesday

afternoon.

The Pirates (6-15-1, 1-13 in conference) broke the game open with a

seven-run sixth inning. Meredith Miles was 1 for 3 with five stolen

bases and three runs scored. She now has 24 stolen bases for the season.

The Pirates will host Santa Ana Friday at 2 p.m.
