Sally Molnar of Newport Beach has been honored by the Susan G. Komen

Breast Cancer Foundation’s Orange County Affiliate for outstanding

efforts in the fight against breast cancer. Molnar and Aletha Anderson of

Coto de Caza are the first Orange County recipients of the Cameo awards,

which were created by Komen International to honor outstanding

volunteerism, leadership and involvement at the local level ... Lawrence,

Mayo & Ponder, an advertising agency in Newport Beach, has been honored

by the Advertising Council in the local public/private corporation

category for its campaign of small-space ads and television public

service announcements developed for the Second Harvest Food Bank of

Orange County ... Elsa Neira has been named account executive at

Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder. She will manage advertising and marketing

activities for the Governor’s Office of the Secretary for Education, the

state’s women, infants and children supplemental food program, and

California Department of Health Services. The Newport Beach resident

attended Cal State Fullerton ... J.R. Means and Ed Arnold of Bayport

Yachts learned sales strategies for the 21st century when they attended

Carver College 2001 in Green Bay, Wis. recently. Means is the vice

president of Bayport Yachts, a full-service yacht dealership in Newport

Beach ... Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeff M. Teeple, son of Linda

Teeple of Costa Mesa, has returned from a six-month deployment to the

Mediterranean Sea and Arabia Gulf while assigned to the aircraft carrier

George Washington. During his deployment, Teeple’s ship assisted in the

recovery effort for Gulf Air Flight 072, which crashed on its way to

Bahrain International Airport Aug. 23 ... Navy Chief Petty Officer

Julienne B. Johnson, sister of Kim Ashenbrenner of Costa Mesa, has

retired from active duty after 20 years of service. Johnson most recently

served at Joint Maritime Facility, St. Mawgun, in the United Kingdom. She

graduated from Huntington Beach High School and attended the State

University of New York and Troy State University in Florida ... Alyce

Klussman of Costa Mesa will serve as chair of the Newport-Mesa American

Cancer Society Daffodil Days Committee. Klussman has been an American

Cancer Society volunteer for several years and is also a breast cancer

survivor. Daffodils will be sold, ranging from $10 per bouquet to $110

for a lavish corporate arrangement. Proceeds will benefit the society’s

has completed a $12-million, 54,085-square-foot, seven-year lease

transaction on behalf of UltraLink Inc. in Costa Mesa. The transaction

office, previously known as iBenefits, into the company’s previous

facility in Costa Mesa.
