Men’s basketball: Lions take care of Hope International
COSTA MESA - Finally.
After four near misses, the Vanguard University men’s basketball team
pulled out it’s first Golden State Athletic Conference win over Hope
International, 60-52, Saturday night at The Pit.
Brandon Cablay led the Lions (5-15, 1-8 in conference) with 13 points,
while Kevin Candelaria grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.
Other scoring stars for Vanguard include Ian Boys (12) and Dennis
Keane (10).
The Royals (10-13, 2-7) were led by Axel Margaritha, who scored 23
points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
