* Wallace Avenue: Someone reported being assaulted with a deadly

weapon in the 2000 block at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Antigua Way: An annoying caller reportedly asked the person who

picked up the phone to activate his or her credit card. The incidents

were reported to the police by a resident in the 1400 block at 4:19 p.m.

Thursday.

* Dover Drive: A suitcase and papers were reported stolen in the 800

block at 5:20 p.m. Thursday.

* Seagull Lane: A backpack was reported stolen from a truck in the 800

block at 1 p.m. Thursday.
