BROADWAY AT CHURCH

“A Broadway Bouquet,” a professional musical revue, will be held at 7

p.m. Feb. 17, as well as 3 and 7 p.m. Feb. 18, at St. Mark Presbyterian

Church, 2100 Mar Vista Drive, Newport Beach. Proceeds will benefit the

nondenominational St. Mark Community Health Alliance. Suggested donations

SCHOOL REGISTRATION

The Temple Bat Yahm Preschool will begin registration this month for

the 2001-02 school year. The preschool is open to children of all races,

religions and national origins and offers two-, three- and five-day

classes. Children must be toilet-trained and age-appropriate for the

RELATIONSHIP TALK

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will sponsor “Christian Prep

Program,” a seminar on relationship skills for couples, from 9 a.m. to 4

DREAM ON

The Adult Faith Formation at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in

Newport Beach will hold an ongoing dream analysis group that meets from 1

MEDITATION LESSONS

A “lectio divina” meditation group meeting is held at 7:15 a.m.

Thursdays at Our Lady Angels Parish Center, 2046 Mar Vista Drive, Newport

Beach. Lectio is a style of meditation that includes using Scripture or a

special reading as a stimulus. Free. The Christian Meditation Group meets

from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at

the center. The format incudes two periods of meditation with some

ILLNESS SUPPORT GROUP

Jewish Family Service of Orange County sponsors an ongoing Jewish

healing support group for people experiencing chronic illness. The group

ABUSE SUPPORT GROUP

St. Mark Presbyterian Church hosts a faith-based, nonsectarian abuse

‘JESUS IN BLUE JEANS’

The Rev. Gail Miller holds a class based on Laurie Beth Jones’ book

“Jesus in Blue Jeans” from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays. The class will consider

the ways Jesus would deal with practical, everyday challenges. The class

HELP WITH HEALING
