Girls basketball: Sailors fall to Santa Margarita

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor High girls basketball team lost

to visiting Santa Margarita, 50-28, Wednesday night in nonleague action.

Athena Vasquez led the Sailors’ attack with six points, while Evita

Castillo chipped in with five.

The Sailors open Sea View League action Tuesday night at Irvine,

beginning at 7.
