It is the season of love. “Rent” returns to the Orange County
Performing Arts Center as part of the 2000-01 Bank of America Broadway
Series. Show times will be 8 p.m. today and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, with 2 p.m.

SUNDAY
‘Tis the season to eat. The Sutton Place Hotel hosts Sunday brunch
from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week, including international seafood and
salad buffets, roasts carved to order, breakfast favorites and more. The
meal is $30, or $40 with champagne. The hotel is at 4500 MacArthur Blvd.,

MONDAY
Happy New Year! Sing a chorus of “Auld Lang Syne” and try to recover
from the night’s festivities.
TUESDAY
Dance till you just can’t dance anymore. The Costa Mesa Senior Center
will offer ballroom dancing to the music of the Ray Robbins Combo for
adults from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Singles and couples are welcome. $3. The

WEDNESDAY
Catch the first rays of orange. “Transformations in Orange,” an
exhibit of acrylic paintings and limited edition prints by Laguna Beach
artist Mike Tauber, will be on display in the Newport Beach Central
Library’s foyer through Jan. 31 at 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. The
free exhibit will feature works depicting the fruit Orange County was
