Tourney action continues at Marina, Edison

Tournament play reaches the third round today as the Marina-Register

Tournament and the Orange County Championships, hosted by Edison High

School, continue.

The tournaments opened Tuesday, play continues today and also Friday,

the final day of competition at the Marina-Register Tournament.

Competing for the Marina-Register Tournament title are host Marina,

Dana Hills, Pacifica, Estancia, Santa Margarita, Santa Ana Valley,

Capistrano Valley, North Torrance, South Torrance, Long Beach Jordan,

Alemany, El Dorado, Kent (Meridian, Wash.), Reno (Nev.), Colony (Alaska)

and Vancouver (British Columbia).

The Orange County Championships, featuring Edison, Huntington Beach,

Mater Dei, Foothill, Laguna Hills, Irvine, Troy, J.W. North, Calvary

Chapel, San Clemente, Rosary and Esperanza, concludes with championship

play Saturday.

At 7:30 tonight, host Edison will take on Troy in a rematch of last

year’s Division IA semifinal showdown, which was won by the Warriors,

54-42.
