In case you haven’t seen the new Les Interieurs store at South Coast
Plaza, you won’t be disappointed if you love the current stores -- Les
Interieurs, Les Interieurs Jardin and The Urban Gardeners. Dan Marty, a
talented home furnishings buyer and merchant, owns all of the stores. A
lot of the home and garden furnishings are hand chosen by Marty on buying
trips to England and France. The Westcliff store was such a huge success
its first month of opening, May 1999, that Marty had to take a quick trip
back to Europe to replenish the store’s antiques. Marty describes the
store’s style as “West Indies/British Colonial with a touch of
Indochine.” The Les Interieurs Jardin has a French country feel to it,
and the Urban Gardener is “Parisian floral chic,” Marty said. The Les
Interieurs South Coast Plaza store has 1920s French club chairs, a bed
from Holland, tables from Provence, armoires from England, pond yachts
from France, garden statuary from the English countryside, vintage
European fabrics and colonial pieces from Africa. Les Interieurs also
offers an interior design service, as well as custom furniture. Locations
include South Coast Plaza: (714) 556-4608; Les Interieurs and Les
Interieurs Jardin at 1701 Westcliff Drive in Newport Beach: (949)
650-7603; and the Urban Gardner at 1811 Westcliff Drive in Newport Beach:

Center Park. This year’s tree came from Mt. Shasta’s reforestation area
and measures more than 90 feet tall. It’s beautifully decorated with more
than 15,000 colored lights. The tree stands outside the Westin South
Coast Plaza Hotel. The park has hosted a free holiday celebration since
1982.
