Girls volleyball: Four Sailors all-league

Newport Harbor High seniors Taylor Govaars and Liz Lord, who helped

lead the Sailors girls volleyball team to a second-place finish in the

Sea View League, have been named first-team all-league by the circuit’s

coaches.

Newport senior Colby George and freshman teammate Alyson Jennings are

second-team honorees.

Jody Carlson and Olivia Waldowski, who led Irvine to the league crown,

are Co-Most Valuable Players.
